Upcoming: Sunday Afternoon Delight and Transportation Architecture

This Sunday June 12th 2011 from 2pm to 10pm support CicLAvia by enjoying yourself at The Shady Bunch’s Afternoon Delight at Weiland’s Brewery in Little Tokyo.

On Friday June 24th 2011 all day, the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architecture will be hosting a one-day conference on The Architecture of Transportation at the L.A. Convention Center downtown. CicLAvia is a community partner for this conference.

CicLAvia friends Treats & Beats and The Shady Bunch are producing An Afternoon Delight featuring four DJ’s, two drummers, one amazing trumpet player and a dope emcee named Basicali hosting an open mic for only the flyest emcee’s.  An Afternoon Delight takes place the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month starting June 12th at Weilands Brewery in Little Tokyo.
Weiland’s happy hour is from 3-7pm. Treats & Beats is hosting a ride to and from the event, more details coming soon.

Gio (Basicali) flowing with rhythms and never swimming up stream
2:00-3:30 Dj Glockwork (First Republic Ent. & Apparel)

The Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architecture will host The Architecture of Transportation design symposium, sponsored by Parsons Brinckerhoff. It takes place Friday June 24th from 8:30am to 5:15pm at the L. A. Convention Center. The event includes a half-gazillion great speakers who we enjoy hearing – from Alissa Walker to Stefanos Polyzoides to Frances Anderton to the Honorable Los Angeles City Councilmember Jan Perry.
