Get Involved in CicLAvia Expansion Eastward!
CicLAvia is planning expansion! Events will be more frequent and routes will be longer, connecting more communities. The expansion effort has begun in South L.A. and now we’re pleased to announce our first public meeting in Boyle Heights – coming on Tuesday March 1st 2011. If you’re interested in helping with expansion further into Boyle Heights, unincorporated East L.A. (and further?!!) plan to attend the CicLAvia community dialogue meeting. It’s hosted by the School of Communications, New Media and Technology at Roosevelt High School.
CicLAvia has been talking with and meeting with community groups, businesses, agencies and individuals beginning to discuss working together to extend east. The responses from the Boyle Heights community and organizations has been nothing but positive. People are excited about the possibility of bringing CicLAvia further into the city. We want to make it happen with the input, support and help from the people that live and work in the area. So, please join us as we take steps towards establishing a host committee and exploration rides – all to bring the vision further east.
The meeting is free
Everyone is welcome
RSVP is not required
updated: now share and/or rsvp (not required) via Facebook event!
